Our throw pillows are made from 100% spun polyester poplin fabric and add a stylish statement to any room. Pillows are available in sizes from 14" x 14" up to 26" x 26". Each pillow is printed on both sides (same image) and includes a concealed zipper and removable insert (if selected) for easy cleaning.

Artist's Description

I started painting this watercolor about 20 years before I finished it. Tiny iris plants were growing in the rocky ledge on the property above our lake cabin. I painted them as they came into bloom, "en plein air", that is to say, outside in nature from the subject. However my life took some interesting turns from that day forward, which led to my filing the painting away for many years. In 2010 when we finished Hamblen Studio I dug it up and fell in love with those tiny Irises all over again. Despite all odds of them being an abandoned garden they thrived, so I painted the background to represent the magic I imagine that it takes to make flowers.

I began working as an artist at the age of two. Unable to resist the siren's call of a large canvas. The newly papered dining room was just screaming for a rainbow band of color about three feet up the wall. So I opened my box of crayons, pressed their tips firmly against the unblemished wallpaper and ran around the room as fast as I could, as many times as I could. I sensed that my work may not be appreciated. It wasn't. But it looked great! It took some time before my parents recognized my talent but I kept working with every medium available. Eventually they took me to study under two local artists recognized as some of Victoria BC's finest painters. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. My work won First Prizes in the...
