Morristown Barn NY Acrylic Print

A lovely portrayal of our history in a simple dramatic watercolor. Many beautiful old buildings still stand years after they have served their purpose. This one is in upstate New York near Morristown. There is something awesome about these buildings. I think of the days and nights people spent in them; tending their animals, earning their livelihoods; the smells, the sounds, the people, the animals......all long gone now, but for the testimonial of their existence left in these grand old structures.

I began working as an artist at the age of two. Unable to resist the siren's call of a large canvas. The newly papered dining room was just screaming for a rainbow band of color about three feet up the wall. So I opened my box of crayons, pressed their tips firmly against the unblemished wallpaper and ran around the room as fast as I could, as many times as I could. I sensed that my work may not be appreciated. It wasn't. But it looked great! It took some time before my parents recognized my talent but I kept working with every medium available.
